I've been running an art-glass studio for some 35 years or so. Twenty years ago I bought my Glastar "Allstar" grinder. It is the most-used tool in my studio and now probably has thousands of hours of use logged. I've never had a problem with it. It just keeps on running and running. Well, OK, I have a complaint: It used to be sparkly white and the plastic is yellowing with age. Just kidding. The yellowing give it a lovely vintage appearance!Anyway, not much can be said about so simple a machine, except that mine's a keeper and if it should disintegrate tomorrow, I would still feel it was one of the best tool values I've ever received. Oh yeah, after using the same grinder wheel on it for a year, it is still simple to change as the shaft doesn't rust or corrode, so just loosening the Allen screw is all it takes to slide off the wheel and install a new one. After reading the tech data on this item I knew that the price difference was reasonable. I know that glastar is one of the best brands in its field and this grinder really is worth your money. I have used it for a while now and it's comfortable to use and really efficient. I love the drawer because this way I can keep the little accessories safe.
