I received this tool through a rebate. Kit comes with type 1 and 27 guards, flanges, wrench, handle and an allen wrench for adjusting the guard. The guard takes a little bit of force to rotate it when you seat it through the key guide but it stays where you want it after you give the screw a turn. Slide switch activation with lock on or hold on operation. 10,000 rpm. I was able to get 21 cuts with a type 1 in a 1/2" threaded rod before it wouldn't cut anymore. It started to bind and slow a little after 16 cuts with a fat pack battery 619. I was also applying more pressure than I know I should have because I wanted to see if it would bind easily. I have no idea what the guts look like but it is a little more expensive the competitors offerings for a 4 1/2" cordless grinder. I think it'll be a great tool so long as the limitations of the battery pack are understood.

I use this handy little grinder for small jobs in remote areas where using extension cords, generators is a hassle. Using the 3.0 batteries is more than sufficient for most jobs. Glad I bought it and got good price on Amazon. K.B.

My 18V Grinder arrived in a factory-sealed box (thank you!). I was a bit hesitant to purchase an cordless angle Grinder, but this thing really works.I wouldn't waste money on the Slim Batteries, as they poop out rather quickly. Standard Fat Pack batteries last an expected amount of time, so the HC Fat Packs should really go the distance.IMPRESSIVE TOOL that's an excellent addition to my tool chest!
