It's a fine grinder.

So far I have used this grinder for cutting landscape blocks, for cutting some steel plate and for sharpening my axes and lawn mower blades. I purchased it because my previous $10 grinder smoked out on me. This one works just fine. It's a bit heavier than my previous grinder but that's OK because the weight provides inertia in the event that the wheel grabs or sticks in a concrete block. I also like the paddle switch better than a slide switch. Slide switches get full of dust so then they are difficult or even impossible to turn On/Off. It even comes with a metal grinding wheel. That was somewhat of a treat. The cord also seems far more flexible than that of my previous ginder. Although it remains to be seen how flexible it will be as the Minnesota temperature drops.As with any high RPM hand tool it's important to remember that they are not designed to be run continually because the brush to rotor contact zone and the gear head will get hot. So, coffee or soda breaks are important. The gear head can be easily removed for replenishing the grease. And, if the brushes start to "cackle" or make funny noise, it's time to replace them otherwise the rotor might get ruined and not repairable.

Nice item that lives up to it's reputation. Easy to assemble side hold handle and relatively easy to change disks out with tool provided.
